TURNING POINT: 9/11 and the War on Terror

TURNING POINT: 9/11 AND THE WAR ON TERROR documents the 9/11 terrorist attacks, from Al Qaeda’s genesis in the 1980s to America’s forceful response both at home and abroad. The series features interviewees ranging from high- level officials from multiple American administrations, Afghan civilians, Afghanistan National Army soldiers, Taliban commanders, members of the Afghan government, former CIA, Afghan warlords, military veterans to survivors of the attacks themselves – the majority of whom had never spoken on camera before with this level of detail. The Washington Post called it “the most honest and exhaustive retrospective about 9/11″ it highlights how September 11, 2001 can’t be disentangled from the calamitous wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. As an interviewee in the series puts it “September 11 is one of the few days in American history that changed the rest of American history.”
